General Info

Tucked away at 4115 Lomo Alto Dr, Dallas, TX 75219, Bacari Tabu brings a relaxed yet refined tapas dining experience to the Dallas food scene. From the moment you step inside, the space immediately feels cozy and upscale at the same time. Soft lighting, comfortable seating, and a lively buzz from diners create the kind of atmosphere that works perfectly for a laid-back dinner with friends or a stylish night out.

What makes Bacari Tabu stand out is how naturally the menu balances classic comfort with shareable tapas plates. The kitchen keeps things approachable while still delivering dishes that feel thoughtfully prepared. One of the highlights during dinner is their pizza, which arrives warm with a crisp crust and rich toppings that make it easy to share across the table. It pairs especially well with a cold Birra Moretti Beer, giving the meal a casual European feel that fits perfectly with the restaurant’s style.

Another staple on the menu is the Caesar Salad. Simple, fresh, and well-balanced, it’s the kind of dish that works either as a starter or alongside other small plates. The crisp greens and creamy dressing add a refreshing contrast to some of the heartier items on the menu. Meanwhile, the cocktail selection rounds out the experience beautifully. The bar serves well-crafted drinks that feel polished without being overly complicated, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening.

The service also contributes to the overall experience. Staff members maintain a friendly and attentive presence while keeping the pace relaxed. Whether you’re a local exploring new dining spots or a tourist visiting Dallas, the environment feels welcoming and comfortable. It’s also convenient that the restaurant accepts credit cards, which keeps things simple when splitting the bill after a long, enjoyable meal.

Location plays a big role too. Being situated in a well-known Dallas neighborhood means Bacari Tabu is easy to add to a night out in the city. Many diners mention the spot in reviews as a go-to place for dinner thanks to its inviting ambiance and dependable menu offerings. The cozy interior encourages guests to linger over cocktails and shared plates rather than rushing through the meal.

Overall, Bacari Tabu offers the kind of tapas restaurant experience that feels both polished and approachable. Between the shareable dishes, relaxed dinner atmosphere, and thoughtful drink options like cocktails and Birra Moretti Beer, it’s the type of place where conversations flow easily and every visit feels a little different depending on what you order from the menu.

What customers say?

“ Early on a Friday….Im almost the sole patron…sat at the bar. A small. It respectable cocktail offering. The Gansta Paradise is a serviceable if somewhat watered down old-fashion. The fried olives and spicy sausage pizza was delectable. Dark, moody, lush dining room appointments. The main attraction would obviously be the live music acts featured on a jewel-box stage. Can only imagine that this place is packed to the gills during showtime. Worth a visit. ”

“ Absolutely excellent vibe, quiant atmosphere, perfect for date night! Joy our server is the consummate professional. Exceptional service, food and cocktails. Next reservation to include live Jazz performance. ”

“ We recently came for a long awaited visit to celebrate my mom’s birthday. My parents used to frequent Strictly Tabu (which this restaurant is based after) back in the day and we couldn’t wait to come check out the new spot. Amazing atmosphere and Marisol provided us with great service! Everything we tried was delicious. For tapas, we had the Endive Caesar, Gnocchi alla Romana, and the Rissoto which is their specialty dish. For pizzas, we had the roasted broccolini pizza which was great! We had the cannoli for dessert which was good as well! I strongly recommend getting at least 1 pizza if there’s 2+ people as it’s the best value for your money, since all of the other dishes are tapas (small servings ranging from $16-$40 a piece). The fried olives they put out before your meal were super delicious as well! The live music was great and we enjoyed our time but are disappointed they do not plan to have live jazz like Strictly Tabu did, as that was our sole reason for coming. Would definitely return in the future for a light bite and cocktail before dinner. The music doesn’t start until around 8, so it’s better to make a later reservation than an earlier one if you’re going for the music! ”

“ Bacari Tabu is an unexpectedly delightful venue with tasty food items, a wonderfully bespoke cocktail menu, and a pleasant atmosphere to the tune of live music most of the week, with jazz on Fridays and Saturdays. Andrew is a top-notch bartender and conversationalist. He and his fellow mixologist, Mario (not pictured) do a great job of attending to patrons. Mario has done an amazing job at crafting a wonderful cocktail menu and can make almost any drink just by telling him vague ingredients and a desired taste - and gets it exactly right. ”

“ 1980’s club reborn in original location. Food phenomenal. Great bartenders particulary Andrew knows his stuff. Cool take on Caesar salad. Great vibes. Entering in the rotation. ”

“ If you're craving the vibrant energy of New Orleans with a touch of Spanish flair, this spot is a must-visit, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. The live jazz music sets the perfect mood for an evening of tapas-style dining. Every dish we tried was exceptional, bursting with flavor and creativity. While the wine selection could benefit from a few more quality whites, the overall experience more than makes up for it. Highly recommended for a lively, memorable night out! ”

“ Great place to enjoy your evening with well crafted cocktails, the jazz band is playing at 9pm. If you want to sit at a table, make sure to make reservation ahead of time, otherwise you can grab a seat at the bar (if you’re lucky). ”

- Joy Funt -

“ I really like this place. Cool drink menu, absolutely delicious food menu, and really good live music. There's a jazz getup who play here from time to time and they kill it. The venue is pretty small and the prices are kinda high, but for a shmuck like me, it's a welcome change of scenery from my usual restaurant rotation. ”
